The following is an interesting observation by Kate on Quora (click here to view the entire post and all the comments).
The fact that these three WW2 memoirs written by Churchill, Eisenhower and De Gaulle do not mention gas chambers or a Holocaust in terms of a plan to exterminate European Jews, is a well known fact among political dissidents. However, the average person is surprised to hear this. When they do become aware some struggle to find a satisfactory answer like Stu here.
Stu goes on to entertain several reasons for Churchill’s omission. The reason Stu grapples to find an answer that he can be contented with is because Stu is assuming that the Holocaust narrative is true. Because of this he limits the possible answers. Melissa does not make this mistake. Because she is open to all possibilities she produces an answer that satisfies the reason all three authors didn’t mention the anything about the Holocaust.
In case you may be thinking that Kate’s assertion is in error I encourage you to look for yourself. All three books are linked below. You can use the search feature to aid in your investigation. Try looking for gas, final solution, Jews/Jewish people, etc… and see what you come up with. Note that the term Holocaust did not become widely used until decades after the war.
The Second World War, by Winston Churchill
Crusade in Europe, by Dwight D. Eisenhower
Mémoires De Guerre, by Charles de Gaulle (I could only find a French copy. You can still search for terms like gaz = gas, Juifs = Jews. In fact the only mention of ‘Juifs’ is this, “In Palestine, the latent conflict between Arabs and Jews required many precautions.”)
Speaking of Churchill, we are told Great Britain was a victor of WW2. But one has to wonder. Today native British people are being demographically replaced to the point where London is no longer a White majority city. In 2020 a statue of Churchill had to be put in a box to keep it from being vandalized. Meanwhile the people of Britain are suffering through increased energy prices because of sanctions with their former ally, Russia. Yet this doesn’t stop the ‘altruistic’ government from shelling out money and resources to third world migrants.
France and America also face demographic replacement and the hardships that come with having an inhomogeneous population. Men from the US, England and France all fought and died in WW2 yet they are still told that they and their ancestors are evil. When you realize that this was not a thing before WW2 it becomes clear that not only the Germans, but all White people were on the losing side of WW2. I have a feeling that when the truth about WW2 comes out it’s going to take more than a box to protect Churchill’s statue.

IMO the “Holocaust” was just the logical exension of war propaganda 1914-1918 which no one defends, it was so outrageous.
Aerial bombarbment was a major interwar topic. Italian Giulio Douhetprophesized decisive aviation and that the bomber would always get through which proved false.
WW1 anti-aircraft artillery improved and some scholar believe that the strategic bombing of Germany cost more than it was worth but, it was the war crime of the era.
Bombing or shelling civililan targets always has been illegal to the point of single stray bullets raising outrage while the systematic destruction of entire cities behind the lines became some sort of heroic thing largely IMO because they craed “Holocaust” to justify it.
It may be understandable that Churchill would not use words like “holocaust” or “genocide” since those were not popularized until later. Less understandable is his failure, post-Nuremberg, to reference either gas chambers or the by-then iconic figure of “six million Jews.” He did however refer to it obliquely in his memoir as follows:
“Crimes were committed by the Germans, under the Hitlerite domination to which they allowed themselves to be subjected, which find no equal in scale and wickedness with any that have darkened the human record. The wholesale massacre by systematised processes of six or seven millions of men, women, and children in the German execution camps exceeds in horror the rough-and-ready butcheries of Genghis Khan, and in scale reduces them to pigmy proportions.” Notably, he continues, “Deliberate extermination of whole populations was contemplated and pursued by both Germany and Russia in the Eastern war. The hideous process of bombarding open cities from the air, once started by the Germans, was repaid twenty-fold by the ever-mounting power of the Allies, and found its culmination in the use of the atomic bombs which obliterated Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”
Churchill, Second World War, Vol. I, The Gathering Storm (1948), Ch. 1 “The Follies of the Victors,” p. 17, https://www.fadedpage.com/books/20190527/html.php.
That is true that ‘Holocaust’ was not popularized until later, but it is quite telling that all three authors said nothing about gas chambers.
I can’t help but notice your excerpt from Churchill is vague. There is not one solid detail about the ‘systematised processes’.
