The Jewish Virtual Library has an extensive section on Holocaust denial. In typical fashion the contents focus on single issues and do not address the fundamental problems of the Holocaust narrative. I will examine their explanation for the swimming pool at Auschwitz to illustrate the the levels of dishonesty required to ‘debunk’ Holocaust revisionists. The following is what they have to say about the swimming pool at Auschwitz:

Is it correct to say that the presence of a swimming pool does not disprove that Auschwitz was a death camp. However, this is a straw man because no serious Holocaust revisionist makes this claim. Does it cast doubt on the narrative that Auschwitz was a death camp? Yes. Does it disprove that Auschwitz was a death camp? No.
Despite the bit of snark at the end about this being a non-argument the author still felt the need to misrepresent facts. The swimming pool was located inside the fence of the prisoners barracks. It doesn’t make much sense to put a pool for the staff inside the inmates area.
We are also told that other means of entertainment existed, but this was also only for the SS personnel. This video clearly demonstrates otherwise. In the video the Holocaust survivor says that for the the 10 or 15 minutes that he sang ‘they forgot where they were’ and that was the most important thing’. Clearly his audience was the other Jewish inmates.
This demonstrates the double edge sword of the survivor’s stories. Their testimony is vital when it comes to building and bolstering the Holocaust narrative, but it can become inconvenient when the survivors talk about a subject that the orthodox Holocaust historians would rather not be brought up.

an interesting time to be alive, there are many reason to debunk the holocaust narrative, and the pool is a good example of one of he features that were provided to the prisoners that leaves doubt that prisoners would be enjoying a nice swim while their bunkmate is in line for the gas chamber, people would go nuts if all they did was wait their turn to die by gassing, can you imagine if the story was true and all you seen all day was your fellow prisoners being carried out of the gas chamber to be later cremated, i think their would be a few deaths by bullet, or bludgeon.
What?
What is your ‘what’ referring to?
I was referring to what Dash said. The syntax is extremely difficult to parse due to the repeated run-on sentences and lack of capitalization in the correct areas.
I believe most of Auschwitz I was built by the Austrians as a military barracks in 1916 during WWI, which is why the quality of construction and the masonry in Auschwitz I was so much nicer than the quickly erected buildings of Auschwitz-Birkenau. It would be an exaggeration to say that the pool was specially built for the inmates enjoyment, but I’m sure they used it regardless.
There’s no way to know for sure if it were built specially for the Jewish inmates or not. But then you have to take into consideration that things like a soccer field and theater were provided for the Jews.
