Jasenovac Part Three

Today I will examine the claims about how 100,000 people were allegedly murdered at Jasenovac. From Wikipedia’s entry on Jasenovac:

“The camp was established in August 1941, in marshland at the confluence of the Sava and Una rivers near the village of Jasenovac, and was dismantled in April 1945. It was ‘notorious for its barbaric practices and the large number of victims’.^[7] Unlike GermanNazi-run camps, Jasenovac lacked the infrastructure for mass murder on an industrial scale, such as gas chambers. Instead, it ‘specialized in one-on-one violence of a particularly brutal kind’,^[8] and prisoners were primarily murdered with the use of knives, hammers, and axes, or shot.^[9]“

Wikipedia’s citation for prisoners primarily being murdered with knives, hammers, axes, or by shooting is an article from the Jerusalem Post (JP). It’s funny how the JP keeps popping up. Of course, there are no sources for the claims in their article. It’s almost like news articles aren’t a great thing to cite, but Wikipedia does it anyway.

It has been quite interesting to compare and contrast Jasenovac with other alleged death camps. Consider the following statement from Wikipedia:

“According to survivors’ testimonies, at the special camp designed for children, Catholic nuns murdered children under their watch by gripping them by their legs and crushing their heads against the wall; these claims could not be verified or certified.^[115]“ (My emphasis added.)

Holocaust fabulists will never admit when atrocious claims against the Nazis can’t be verified. When it is mostly Serbs, and not Jews, that are being murdered, suddenly the standards for eyewitness testimony are raised. Jews want you to believe the Jasenovac narrative because fascism bad. However, no WW2 suffering can ever be worse than the Jewish suffering. That is why they will put the idea of nuns bashing children to death out there, but they won’t completely stand behind the claim.

The following image is another claim that Wikipedia repeats:

There are plenty of sources that tell you that the farm tool that they now call a “srbosjek” was used for efficient mass murdering at Jasenovac, but none of them tell you how this implement was used. A friend of the site (who actually gave me the idea to cover this topic, and I should have thanked him earlier) sent me a video of a “srbosjek” being used for its intended purpose. I suggest you watch this short clip as it shows that the blade, which is only 4.7 inches, just isn’t that sharp. The user has to pull the wheatsheaf towards the blade to get it to cut. I’ve seen claims that the leather gloves were outfitted with longer and sharper blades, but there is nothing to back this claim up. If such thing existed, show me one instead of using the same stock picture that Wikipedia used. I’m just not buying that this farm tool with a small, dull blade was used as a weapon of mass murder. If any knife experts would like to chime in on why the “srbosjek” is poorly designed for mass murder, please leave a comment!

Another claim from Wikipedia:

“Granik: Granik was a ramp used to unload goods of Sava boats. In winter 1943–44, season agriculture laborers became unemployed, while large transports of new internees arrived and the need for liquidation, in light of the expected Axis defeat, were large. Vjekoslav ‘Maks’ Luburić devised a plan to utilize the crane as a gallows on which slaughter would be committed, so that the bodies could be dumped into the stream of the flowing river. In the autumn, the Ustaše NCO’s came in every night for some 20 days, with lists of names of people who were incarcerated in the warehouse, stripped, chained, beaten and then taken to the ‘Granik’, where weights were tied to the wire that was bent on their arms, and their intestines and neck were slashed, and they were thrown into the river with a blow of a blunt tool in the head. The method was later enhanced, so that inmates were tied in pairs, back to back, their bellies cut before they were tossed into the river alive.^{[136][non-primary source needed]}“

Granik is about 43 miles northwest of Jasenovac. I chose to bring this one up because, not only is the claim overly grotesque, but it would also be easy to verify by dredging the Kupa river where the bodies were allegedly dumped. Yet I see no indication that an investigation was ever done. I am reminded of how they attempted to look for victims of the alleged Danube river massacre, which was said to claim the lives of 20,000 Jews. See image below for how that turned out:

The reason the Israeli divers felt confident to search the river for Holocaust victims is because the remains of 15 people were found during repairs made in 2011 to the Margaret Bridge in Budapest. So it is possible to find human remains in rivers. We have pictures and stories of prisoners from Jasenovac, and from elsewhere, of dead bodies being dumped in the river. So why did they never try to find the remains?

Considering the fact that the ruling elite will go to any length to paint fascism/National Socialism as a murderous and evil ideology, and considering it is admitted that there is no forensic evidence, I have zero reason to believe that 100,000 people were systematically murdered there. I also don’t believe the accusations of obscene brutality.

Expect to hear more about Jasenovac in the future as I do further research into the matter. I think it is important to set the record straight as much as I can for the sake of truth and for the Croatian people that have had to live with this unsubstantiated accusation looming over their head.
