The Jewish Virtual Library, or JVL, has a refutation for the an issue I brought up in a previous post (which I suggest you read). Namely, that it wouldn’t have been safe for the Sonderkommando (Jewish inmates that allegedly assisted the Germans in the murdering of fellow Jews) to have entered the gas chambers so soon after the alleged gassing. I believe that it’s prudent to mention that some of the witnesses claimed that they entered the chamber much sooner than 20-30 minutes. In fact, one report says they only waited 5-7 minutes.
In the second paragraph we are told of a forced ventilation system that would have been ‘ample time’ to replace the air after a gassing. Let’s see what Garmer Rudolf has to say about these giant fans in his book, The Chemistry of Auschwitz.
As you can see the ventilation system was not designed or intended for the purpose of quickly pumping toxic air from the room. Therefore the assertion of 15 minutes being ample time falls flat.
I just love the third paragraph: “Furthermore, what makes ventilation difficult and lengthy is the presence of rugs, furniture, curtains, etc. Needless to say, these were not present in the gas chambers – there was just bare concrete, making ventilation very fast and efficient.” Hey, JVL, you forgot to mention the 2000 bodies that would have been on that ‘bare concrete’ floor, trapping the deadly cyanide gasses. This isn’t the first time I’ve caught the JVT being so blatantly dishonest.
Finally, in the last paragraph JVL sets up the straw man of a ’20 hours ventilation period’. That’s not what revisionists claim. Revisionists say that the Sonderkommando couldn’t have safely entered the chamber when they claimed to have. Nice try, JVL, but you’re not going to get away with your unscrupulous argument tactics today.
